Arizona Cardinals' Hollywood Brown pulled over for speeding 126 mph |
Marquis 'Hollywood' Brown of the Arizona Cardinals is quickly building his reputation as a receiver.
On August 3, Brown was arrested for speeding in Arizona, allegedly speeding 126 mph in a 65 mph zone.
As noted in Outkey, Brown was taken into custody at 7 a.m. m. (MDT) in Arizona on Loop 101 in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
AZ Cardinals WR Marquis Brown arrested for criminal speeding
About a month before this incident, on July 9, Brown had a fight with the law that involved a heavy foot on the gas.
According to TMZ Sports, Hollywood was pulled over and cited by police for traveling 21 mph over the speed limit. He was driving a black Mercedes and was pulled over by Maricopa County authorities while driving through a 50 zone. Brown was fined $350, the outlet reported.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in either incident, even if Hollywood Brown's reliability as a new member of the Cardinals suffered.
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury previously called Brown a "long-term answer" to Arizona's receiving depth. Earlier this month, Kingsbury himself had to blame Brown for the WR's arrest on August 3.
"Obviously [Brown] knows he has to be better than that and he's going to step up," Kingsbury said.
Suspension negotiated with Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins
Arizona can't see another receiver drop off the depth chart. Top receiver DeAndre Hopkins is sidelined through Week 7 due to a PED suspension, and Christian Kirk's departure leaves the team with 982 receiving yards (2021) in 2022.
